Seriously. Seen every episode hundreds of times, have just about all the board games and memorabilia, shirts, phone cases, etc. I also have several books about the show and its actresses.

My SIL would give you a run for your money for that title. I got her this for Christmas and she wears it all the time. Before the current “unpleasantness” she was planning on taking a Golden Girls cruise.

I stumbled upon the show as a teenager when it was airing reruns on cable. Found that for some reason, it helps my anxiety. I’ve suffered from Generalized Anxiety Disorder all my life and this show is one of the things that will always calm me down, even if sometimes just a little bit.

It’s great. I have 10+ t-shirts. Every time I find one in a store, I usually buy it. Got 3 or 4 iPhone cases with them on there and my wife threw me a GG-themed 30th birthday party this past November.

Rumor has it the current owners of that house are either putting it on the market or renovating it to not look like it did on the show anymore because they are tired of the tourists.

I just hope I make it there for a photo- op before any renovation starts.

My friend just moved from Michigan to Arizona and he is 6 hours from LA. Once corona is less of a concern, if that ever happens, I’m flying from here (Kentucky) to there and driving a rental with him from AZ to the house.

Didn’t much care for it when I was on in the 80's but Mom used to watch it a lot in the later years...I’d then watch when I’d visit and the show was surprisingly hip!

If you ever find yourself in SF around christmas time, there is a drag show of the two Golden Girls Christmas episodes. Goddamn hilarious.

Yes! Dorothy married Blanche’s uncle, Lucas Hollingsworth, and moved to Atlanta with him in the series finale. Leslie Nielsen played the character of Uncle Lucas.

Funny, the tourists wouldn’t bug me. It’d be cool to have a house with such history, even if minor. As expected, metro LA has endless filming location houses, most of them easy to snap a pic, and not modified from when they were on film. Hope it isn’t changed before you can get there.

If I recall right, it is in Santa Barbara not insanely far from LAX, so if you flew there for some reason, it would be easy, too.

I am! A 30-year-old car enthusiast straight guy whose favorite show is The Golden Girls? Freak for sure. Favorite singer? Dolly Parton. And, my favorite comic book character? Deadpool. He also loves The Golden Girls. Particularly Bea Arthur.

Could probably do it safely on a several hour layover even, just uber out there and back.

I am a bit of a filming location geek, on that trip I had a few free days, so I visited a lot of locations - some of them I had wanted to see for ages, like BTTF locations or the Poltergeist house. And I forgot a few, so I’ll have to do it again.
